How To Fit Into That Dream Wedding DressLooking and feeling beautiful on the wedding day is the number one concern for most brides around the country.

But usually health and fitness goals take a low priority to work, school, family and other daily demands.  

Tina Schaff-Woodshank (pictured to the right with her husband Bobby) found herself in that very scenario last year (2009). She was working a stressful corporate job and also taking graduate school classes when her fiancé proposed.  

I was preparing for my wedding and had begun the process of dress shopping.  I must have tried on about 20 dresses and I didn't like the way I looked in a single one.  As the New Year approached and with my wedding five months away, I started to panic and knew I needed to prioritize my fitness to feel great and find a dress.” 

After a few weeks at the gym, Schaff became bored with the routine.  One-on-one personal training was too expensive, so she looked into local fitness bootcamps and found motivFIT. 

Being around Jeff and the other Body Blast members is a great way to start the day.  While we are working our tails off, we still laugh and enjoy ourselves and I always feel glad that I came,” Schaff explains.  “When the alarm clock goes off in the morning and the last thing I want to do is get up and exercise, I know that there are others waiting on me and I will soon have my workout complete for the day.”

It is the accountability, the intense fitness regimen, emphasis on proper food planning and consistency that helped Schaff reach her goals.  Within the first month, she lost 8lbs.  By the time her wedding day arrived five months later, she had lost a total of 18lbs. 

“I found the dress of my dreams and can honestly say that I felt absolutely gorgeous that day,” noted Schaff.

More importantly though, she remains in the class a year later and finds herself in a healthier lifestyle.  “I have more energy, manage stress better, have more confidence and am generally happier. You may have to get up a earlier than you would have normally, but you'll end up sleeping better anyway so it’s an equal trade off!”
