How long will it take to get up and running?

There are many factors that influence the amount of time to get your business started. Once the License Agreement is signed it can take a week to a month to complete the setup of your business. If you have an existing business, factors including the time of year, your level of motivation, your familiarity with your territory and the competition level in the area will impact your time to get started. Your level of experience and ability to recruit instructors will influence the degree to which your business will grow. We suggest you give yourself a minimum of 8 weeks after signing the licensing agreement to negotiate your location permits, decide on start dates, evaluate your location for workouts, place local ads and launch a marketing campaign. You may also need to purchase insurance and equipment to begin operations. motivFIT's Training System will help you get started and we also provide a step by step guide.

What other kinds of start-up costs can I expect?

In addition to your monthly licensing fee to motivFIT, you will have some general business start-up costs if you do not already have your business set up.  These costs may include attorney’s fees, accounting software, business name reservation fees, business license fees, additional marketing, advertising and promotional costs not provided by motivFIT, and fitness equipment.

What’s included in the monthly licensing fee?

Your licensing fee covers a multitude of features, functions and services such as the lease of your motivFIT corporate website, business management software, your licensing rights to the motivFIT name for each location, continued global & national marketing and brand building of motivFIT, access to motivFIT’s up-to-date marketing, business development and networking platform with other motivFIT owners. You will also receive weekly exercises that you can add to your workout guide, newsletter templates for your clients, and monthly marketing blasts.

What kinds of skills would I need to run this business?

General business experience is important, but not mandatory. A passion for fitness and helping others to reach their goals is very important for continuing success of your motivFIT Fitness business. In addition, you need to be able to motivate and inspire those that train with you.  Our corporate office will provide support and mentorship to help you in theses areas.

How do I find instructors?

Finding and hiring fitness instructors can make or break you in this industry.  Once you have held several months of workouts, the best place to find instructors is from your current clients. You will find your most loyal instructors here and they will have already an understanding of your mission, how your run your business, and will more than likely already have a strong bond with you.

Do I need insurance?

Yes, you will be required to carry Personal Trainer Liability Insurance that names Fitness Training for Life, LLC as an additional insured. We will help you to find the right insurance provider for your needs.

Will you be available to answer additional questions? What is the cost for this support?

Yes, our corporate office is available to you for general business questions, marketing questions and administrative questions throughout your contractual agreement, free of charge.

Can I use the name motivFIT in my advertising?

Yes, you can call your program motivFIT XYZ city , and you can use the name in marketing materials & in ads. We will also provide you with sample ads to use along with digital media.

Will I get my own page on the website?

Yes, we will create a general page on our site once your location has been secured and before that to announce the coming of a new territory. Your webpage will be your own personal SEO marketable website.  You can update your page in a more personal manner and send it to our corporate office to upload with current information on a bi-monthly basis. If you do not have any website editing knowledge, we will help you make simple changes on a bi-monthly basis.

How much money can I earn operating my own motivFIT Location?
Typically the average motivFIT  location will bring in $30,000 -$70,000+ per year.  This is not a guarantee.  Your earnings are determined by several factors, such as, your work ethic and the amount of effort you put in, the number of group classes  you run, economic location, pricing, etc...  We are not one of those “marketing gurus” making claims that you’ll be on track to make $100,000 in your first 2 months of business.  This is very unrealistic and misleading.  You certainly can make will over $100,000 per year in this industry, however, you will need to work very hard to do so.

Is motivFIT a franchise?
No. In developing motivFIT our mission was to create a business model that would make it easy for any fitness professional to replicate and operate a successful motivFIT model, while keeping costs low. With that in mind we evaluated the pros and cons of franchising versus licensing and decided to make motivFIT a licensed business model for two specific reasons.

1. Your investment into the program is much less then it would be if this were a franchise. If motivFIT was a franchise, then you would be spending $10,000 plus just to start your franchise model.

2. By making this a licensed business model it allows you to have more control and flexibility of your business. Franchises simply don’t allow that.

Why can’t I own and operate my own Boot Camp or Fitness Camp?
You can operate your own Boot Camp or Fitness Camp, however, you should know that 80% of new business ventures fail within the first 12 months. Being part of a proven program such as motivFIT and having access to industry experts, who can coach you in the right direction and show you how to get from where you are now to where you want to be quickly, is ultimately what you want, right? Besides, motivFIT  is a unique propriety fitness business model that know one else has or can duplicate.  Why be like every other boot camp program out there, when you can be part of something that is original, unique, and provide a fitness program that no one else offers?

What are the costs associated with motivFIT?
Your investment to own and operate your own motivFIT  location and  receive unlimited coaching & mentorship is your Licensing/Subscription fee of $499/month, per approved location.  There is also a $1,900 Licensing start up fee.  This includes your custom branded and optimized website, your licensing rights to the motivFIT name for each location, continued global & national marketing, brand building of motivFIT, access motivFIT’s up-to-date marketing, business development, and networking platform with other motivFIT owners. You will also receive weekly exercises that you can add to your workout guide, newsletter templates for your clients, and monthly marketing blasts.

Can anyone open up a licensed motivFIT location?
No, motivFIT is only available to nationally certified fitness professionals with industry experience and even then each and every location license must be approved before you can use the motivFIT logo, brand, marketing material, operations system, and be added to the national motivFIT directory.

Does motivFIT provide me with a protected territory?
This is not a franchise, so territories are not given, however we will not license any motivFIT  locations to operate within a 10 mile radius of one another to insure the success of those licensing our program.
